Last month (2/20) I observed an unusual gull here in Cleveland, Ohio. The brown rather than black primaries, and large size relative to the American Herring Gulls were striking. I entertained a 2nd winter Slaty-backed Gull, or a hybrid involving American Herring, Glaucous-winged, and/or Slaty-backed.
