Unknown Fodys, Mauritius | BirdForum

The pictures on Mauritius Fody page on Ebird are okay:

If you go onto the ‘Top Photos’ bit then most of them seem okay, although I think the odd Red Fody picture has crept in. There are still a lot of incorrectly IDed Mauritius Fodys on the map though, so you have to be careful there. Sadly, I get the impression no one is reviewing Ebird records for Mauritius so there’s a lot of bad data there.

When I visited Mauritius (about 25 years ago), I remember being quite startled when I saw Mauritius Fody because I could see most of its global range at the same time as the bird! It really had a very small distribution. This was around Black River Gorges. I think they’re also now on Ile aux Aigrettes. Away from those places, I’m not sure. I would be wary about most reports from other areas. When I checked photos from places away from the strongholds on Ebird, they generally show Red Fody. The Birdlife page gives some information on their current status and distribution:

I don’t really know much about Rodrigues Fody. Presumably being on Rodrigues is helpful for ID!
