Still culling pics from last Novembers trip to Northern Ecuador and struggling to feel 100% on this bird. Both Dusky & Ruddy Pigeons occur regularly at this site and we saw several definite Ruddy Pigeons – not close but at the same level we were watching from and I’ve got record shots I’m happy are clearly this species.
Later we saw this bird (one of 2 together) which although much closer were overhead and with a little mist haven’t helped my photo attempts. To me I favour these as Dusky…
