Another thing we really like is how easy this food is on a dog’s stomach. If your pup has sensitivities, Primal is a solid option because it skips all the usual troublemakers—corn, wheat, soy, legumes, and lentils—that tend to cause tummy issues. We also love that there’s a recipe for just about every need, whether you’ve got a growing puppy, a picky small breed, or just a dog who likes a little variety in their bowl.

And since everything is made right here in the USA with high sourcing standards, you can feel good knowing exactly what’s going into your dog’s food. It’s a nice balance of health, convenience, and taste—without cutting corners.

What to Consider:

Primal Kibble in the Raw is definitely on the pricier side compared to traditional kibble, so it may not fit every budget—especially for larger dogs that eat more. 

While we like that they offer both a puppy and a small-breed version, they only offer one of each. As far as regular recipes go, they offer the basics- chicken, beef, plus a fish/pork combo- which is perfect for most dogs. I would like to see a turkey or maybe a lamb in there, though, for dogs who have allergies to the more popular proteins.
